Sweden has confirmed it will deliver eight Archer self-propelled artillery systems to Ukraine shortly.
The delivery is part of a $287m military aid package pledged by the country.
Archer systems are equipped with a 155mm howitzer gun that can deliver munitions to targets over 30m away. The platform’s fully automatic magazine is able to load and fire all its 21 shells in under 3 minutes, creating a devastating barrage that can annihilate any targeted Russian position.
These awesome weapons will likely be integrated into newly formed mechanized battalions alongside Western-supplied tanks and other vehicles.
