The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar is set to come under intense questioning later today from opposition TD’s after it was revealed that he leaked a Government document last year.
Although the Tanaiste has recieved backing from his Fine Gael TD’s, Varadkar will be asked to answer for his reasoning after he seemingly shared confidential information with a friend.
Meanwhile the Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that although Varadkar’s sharing of the document to National Association of General Practitioners last year was in appropriate, he stated that he believes the Tanaiste broke no laws.
It is expected that Varadkar will face questioning from Sinn Fein who have called for all communication information between the Government and NGAP.
