The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has claimed that Islamic militant group ISIS would like to blow historic monuments such as Newgrange and the Rock of Cashel, the Taoiseach also said Ireland should except many thousands of refugees with open arms.
Mr Kenny made the claim earlier this afternoon stating the historic landmarks would be considered offensive to Islamic State jihadists. Mr Kenny also stated that there is currently no dispute within the coalition on the matter of how many refugees Ireland can accept.
The Taoiseach stated that he and his fellow cabinet ministers are to discuss the issue at a meeting scheduled for this Thursday. Mr Kenny slammed the militant groups actions for destroying ancient temples in Syria saying it is a clear sign of their barbarism.
