Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is taking heavy flak today over his controversial demands for medical staff to work all the way through Christmas.
Mr. Varadkar went as far as asking HSE bosses to forbid staff from taking holidays or leave during the festive period, to meet increased patient demand over the winter months.
It is unclear whether or not Mr. Varadkar also plans to work ‘full whack’ over the Christmas period himself.
