Caretaker Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has hinted at the possibility of establishing an ‘air bridge’ with certain countries, to salvage as much of the summer holidays as possible.
Other European countries are also pursuing the ‘air bridge’ idea, which would link popular summer destinations with the UK, Ireland, and other northern nations.
Full flying schedules are unlikely to return until the holiday period is over, or maybe at the tail end of the summer, so air bridges would be an interim solution.
