The Taoiseach Enda Kenny lashed out at reporters in Canada yesterday when they asked him about his plans to remain as leader of Fine Gael.
A visibly irrated and angry Kenny was at a joint press conference today in Canada with the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
A major back and forth broke out when members of the press asked Kenny when he was going to step down.
RTE claims that the Taoiseach said “I can’t believe actually that you have travelled this distance to ask a question like that.”
Asked for a second time and an almost shaking Kenny repeated that he “could not believe someone would travel that far” to ask such a ridiculous question, to which the was an unease in the press conference.
Kenny then threw his two cents in regarding the French Presidential election, which to no suprise, he said he that he hoped that Mr Macron won the election because “he is very strongly pro-European and he has an understanding of what it is to be a Minister for Finance”.
