All is not well in Atlanta for Enda Kenny, it seems.

According to sources, the Taoiseach may get some flak from protesters who are not happy about his very presence at the local St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which gets underway at 4am Irish time tomorrow.

Mr. Kenny is scheduled to play the part of grand marshal.

Some local TV stations have reported a substantial amount of online opposition to the Taoiseach, and specifically about the Irish Government’s stance and attitude about water charges here.

It is understood that a local newsreader referred to the Taoiseach as a “controversial figure in Ireland”, and added that some people have levelled accusations of ‘being racist’ and ‘turning his back on the poor’ against him.
