The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that there could be a delay in reopening the remainder of pubs on July 20th due to footage seen from the weekend.
Many places saw packed pubs with opening hours being extended, something that Martin was commented on today on Cork’s 96FM. He said he was having a meeting about the issue today.
He told Cork’s 96FM: “We have to put public health first. That is the overarching issue. The only way we can get the economy back is if we keep Covid-19 down. Any change to this would be a disaster for the country.
“There is an obligation on everyone to behave.”
