Taoiseach refers to protests against asylum seekers as ‘against being Irish’




Unelected (for a second time) Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has referred to protests against asylum seekers as ‘against being Irish.’

His comments come following several incidents involving local residents and refugees across Ireland in recent days.

It is understood that the Government is streamlining the application process for asylum seekers.
