The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that there are brighter days ahead as the country’s vaccination programme is beginning to ramp up.
In a tweet the Taoiseach said: “Today we will pass the important milestone of one million #COVID19 vaccines administered in Ireland.”
“Over the coming weeks our vaccine rollout will ramp up even further, thanks to the efforts of healthcare staff and volunteers across the country. Brighter days are coming.”
The Taoiseach’s comments were made just before the HSE Chief Paul Reid confirmed on Thursday afternoon that one million vaccine doses had been administered across the country.
