Fianna Fail’s leader, Michael Martin, has told the Irish community that the €4 billion Covid emergency fund could be raided to pay for housing, healthcare, social welfare and education required by 100,000+ Ukrainian refugees.

Previously, the Irish government invited uncontrolled numbers of Ukrainians to permanent residence in our country. It is thought that more than 100,000 Ukrainians could arrive on the open invitation by the Irish government.

A total of €4 billion was set aside in the Budget to manage covid related emergencies with around one billion of that having already been spent.

Much, if not all of this money will be tagged onto our already burgeoning national debt.

The Taoiseach says they’re looking at unspent Covid funding to fund his extraordinary generosity to resettle unlimited numbers of Ukrainians.
