The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that he fully intends to lead the Fianna Fail party into the next General Election.
Martin who also said that he intends to take up the position as Tanaiste next year has apparently told party colleagues that he has no plans to step down.
The Taoiseach who has received criticism in recent months has also stated that the party should engage with younger voters.
He went on to say that the party needs to adapt and change in order to attract younger people.
