Taoiseach says he respects President Higgins decision not to attend NI centenary service




The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that he respects President Michael D Higgins decision not to attend a Northern Ireland centenary service next month.

Speaking about the President’s decision not attend the service, Martin said that he understands where he is coming from.

The Taoiseach also said that the president has articulated his response to the invite and I know he has given it a lot of consideration.
