The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said nothing is set in stone in terms of lifting Covid-19 restrictions.
Speaking this evening, the Taoiseach said that the Government and NPHET are pursuing a prolonged suppression of the virus and monitor the situation closely.
His comments come after it was revealed that the country could potentially face nine more weeks of strict restrictions that could last until May.
The Taoiseach said the Cabinet and NPHET are to meet again on Monday with the main focus on the phased reopening of schools.
