The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that the country may have a staged approach to leaving Level 5 restrictions in December.
Speaking today, the Taoiseach said that it is the Government’s hope to have a system that will allow families to celebrate Christmas in a meaningful way.
Martin who didn’t provide any details also said that it is the Government’s aim to get the economy back open in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
He added that exit plan is being worked on by The National Public Health Emergency Team and the Government and no official decision has been made.
