The next general election maybe just months away but the political satire between the country’s leading politicians has already begun with current Taoiseach Enda Kenny taking the first swipe at his upcoming opponents, Mr Kenny has shown no mercy when it comes to slandering his fellow TD’s as he has warned the Irish nation that a Government made up of Sinn Féin and Independent TD’s would be a ‘political freakshow’ which would result in Ireland’s economy being lead down a ‘mined and untested road’.

Mr Kenny made his rather damaging remarks whilst he was speaking about the upcoming election at MacGill Summer School in Co Donegal recently, Mr Kenny also warned that any future government which had a vast majority of Independents would be a complete and utter ‘Tower of Babel’ which would result in no work being done. The Taoiseach also said that the nation should vote for the current coalition as they have proven themselves worthy whilst being in office as they have successfully returned stability to the country, Mr Kenny also said if he and his fellow government TD’s were re-elected, they would do everything in their power to encourage Irish emigrants to return home by lowering taxes.

Mr Kenny suggested that if the public decided on an alternative government involving Sinn Féin and Independent TD’s they would be taking a massive gamble, Mr Kenny said: “Will they choose the road to strengthen economic recovery, which is already mapped out, which is cleared and which is tested.” “Or will they decide to take another road. A road that’s possibly mined, certainly unmapped and certainly untested.”
