TDs are in line to get a €2k pay rise this week, bringing their salaries up to €107k a year.
This does not account for expenses, which are extra earnings on top of the salary.
It is unclear what TDs are actually paid for, since most take a hands-off approach to their jobs, only surfacing in the Dáil to vote for pay rises for themselves.
