A teacher in her 30s was caught on camera kissing an 18-yr-old student on a train after a student night out.
A teacher aged in her 30s initially managed to escape being fired from a £11,000 per year school in Crosby Merseyside. A committee looked at the footage and came to the conclusion that it was not of a sexual nature and that it was more spontaneous than anything else, even though the student claims that it actually was of a sexual nature.
The teacher was then placed on what has been called gardening leave until a disciplinary hearing concluded and made its the final decision about the matter.
It’s understood that both teacher and student had drank a lot of alcohol at the time on an empty stomach and that the random kiss was nothing more than a mistake.
Although the student is 18 and it’s clearly not an illegal incident, it’s more an ethical one for a student and teacher shouldn’t have any sexual relationship.
The teacher has since lost her job as a result of the incident.
