According to the Pembroke Pines Police Department, a teacher has been hospitalised after a 5-yr-old Pines Lakes elementary school student attacked her.
Shortly after 10am on Wednesday last week, the student began beating his teacher with his fists and feet in the “cool down” room after the 5-yr-old boy started throwing objects and knocking over chairs, according to the incident report.
An officer went to the classroom and found the teacher sitting on the floor against the wall. According to the report, she felt “faint,” “weak, and dazed” before starting to cough and develop dry nausea.
Firefighters used a stretcher to carry the teacher out of the classroom and to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. The student is facing a charge of aggravated assault with hands, fists, and feet.
