A young man addicted to pills has admitted dragging a man down a street in Dublin city centre and repeatedly attacking him during a “truly shocking” morning drug-fuelled attack, reports Breaking News.
The victim, a middle-aged man, first encountered the 17-year-old boy on Liffey Street at around 7am on July 24, on his way to work.
Dublin Children’s Court heard the teenager “threatened to stab the man if he didn’t give him money”, reports Breaking News.
Garda Craig White said the boy followed the victim to Middle Street Upper and detained him.
The video shows that the man was approached by another, unknown man.
The injured party was hit and tried to avoid the attacker, but was blocked and “hit the ground.” He got up, took more punches and was knocked down again, reports Breaking News.
