Following the petrol bomb that was thrown into a home in Ardmore Park, Ballybeg in Co Waterford, a 17-year-old boy has been arrested who is believed to have been involved in the attack.
Two young girls who were victims of the attack suffered serious injuries due to the bomb were rushed to Waterford Regional Hospital.
The young boy is currently being held at Waterford Gardai Station. Another man, 23, has also been arrested in relation to the attack. He was picked up by the gardai and brought before a court.
Gardai are appealing for eye witnesses to come forward with any information that might have on the incident.
