After the big storm comes the big freeze.
Temperatures are set to fall as low as -3C by tomorrow, as a wintry spell will hit the country this weekend.
Heavy rain is expected overnight, and colder conditions will reach the northern half of the country, Â where the rain will turn wintry in parts of Ulster and Connacht.
Tonight will be a bitterly cold and windy night, with temperatures falling to between -3/0C.
Tomorrow Friday will be equally chilly, with daytime temperatures hovering between 3 and 6C, and predominantly blustery conditions.
