Tesco Ireland urgently recalls €4 snack that could contain metal pieces

Tesco Ireland has issued an urgent recall of a batch of its popular bakery items amid concerns they may contain fragments of metal.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) released an alert today relating to a specific batch of Tesco’s Et Voila! Pains au Chocolat 4 pack, which is sold at a price of €4, reports The Mirror.

According to the FSAI: “This batch of Et Voila! Pains au Chocolat 4 pack is being recalled due to the possible presence of metal pieces”, reports The Mirror.

Tesco has been directed to withdraw the affected batch from shelves and to place recall notices at points of sale.

The recalled products can be identified by a best before date of 05/02/26, which corresponds to today, reports The Mirror.

Customers are being advised not to consume the affected batch and to return it to any Tesco store for a full refund, regardless of whether a receipt is available.

Tesco Customer Services can be contacted for further information on 1800 248 123, reports The Mirror.
