Summer is well and truly gone, as Met Eireann predicts heavy rain showers and temperatures as low as 8C for the coming weekend.
Today, Friday, will see well scattered showers becoming more persistent towards evening, with highest temperatures of 19-20C, dipping to 8-10 as night falls.
Tomorrow, Saturday, will begin dry and bright, with some spells of rain, turning heavy and thundery towards the afternoon and evening.
A similar pattern is expected on Sunday.
