Authorities in the UK have confirmed that the daughter of a former Russian spy who was poisoned in Salisbury England, is no longer in critical condition.

In a statement released on Thursday, Salisbury District Hospital said that 33 year old Yulia Skripal is no longer in critical condition and is improving rapidly.

The good news comes after Yulia and her father Sergei were found slumped on a bench in Salisbury on March 4th.

It is believed the pair were the victims of a attack that involved the use of a deadly nerve agent.

Speaking about Yulia’s recovery process Christine Blanshard, Medical Director for Salisbury District Hospital, said the following: “I’m pleased to be able to report an improvement in the condition of Yulia Skripal.”

“She has responded well to treatment but continues to receive expert clinical care 24 hours a day.”

Although Yulia is reported to be responding well to treatment, her father Sergei still remains in critical condition in hospital.

Police investigating the incident say they have shifted their focus to the home of the former Russian agent, after a large amount of the deadly toxin was found at their home.

It is expected investigating officers will spend a number of weeks at the home in order to determine how much of the nerve agent was used to poison the pair.
