Gardaí in Dublin in Co Galway have attended the scene of a serious multi car crash on the N62 this evening.
According to RTÉ News a number of people have been take to hospital following the collision which involved a staggering 12 cars.
Investigating officers say they believe a heavy downpour of hailstones may have caused the collision at the Aughrim exit near Ballinasloe.
They also say thankfully no one was seriously injured in the incident which occurred at 5pm this evening.
