The end is nigh: Computer programmer declares the world will end before New Year’s Day

world

It’s the end of the world as we know it… well, that’s if you believe a computer programmer who claims that Jesus will return to Earth this month, and bring everyone to Heaven and leave Earth desolate for 1,000 years.

Nora Roth, a Christian computer programmer, says constructed complex calculations which suggest the apocalypse will occur by New Year’s Day 2017.
At that time, ‘everlasting righteousness will be brought in’, and Earth will be ‘left to rest’ for at least 1,000 years.

Ms Roth writes: ‘In the fall of 2016, the 6,000 years of sin on earth will come to an end, everlasting righteousness will be brought in, and Jesus will come again to take His people to heaven.’

‘Then the Earth will begin its 1,000 years of rest.’
Ms Roth’s calculations are based on an excerpt from the Bible’s Book of Daniel, which tells the story of the Jewish people’s forced relocation to Babylon.

Christians believe Jesus will return at some point in the future, but literally no one knows or can know when that time will be, however Ms Roth’s conspiracy theory has gained tremendous traction and she now a major following as a result of her prediction.

At least we can enjoy Christmas!
