A number of charities nationwide have issued an appeal to the public urging them to donate any unwanted Christmas gifts to charity rather than returning them to the shops.
The call comes from the charities’ who say that any unwanted gift could really be appreciated by someone in need.
The charities in particular say the unwanted item could be used by those who are currently homeless and the ind gesture could really make all the difference particularly to those who are currently homeless.
The call is being issued after St Mary’s Pro Cathedral in Dublin have revealed the have already received hundreds of unused presents.
