The golden printer: Associated costs for the printer destined for the holy Dáil chamber top €1.6million

In a new twist of the latest Government cock-up, it has transpired that the costs associated with a printer originally intended to be fitted at the Dáil have surpassed €1.6million.

The inexplicably high amount includes the printer itself, renovation works needed to accommodate the machine, storage fees, and other ancillary costs.

It is understood that the original measurements provided were wrong, and the printer did not fit it where intended, so builders had to be called to demolish walls to accommodate the device.

It remains unclear whether or not the printer in question is actually in use as of today.
