The Minister for Arts Catherine Martin said the numbers point in the right direction for a full reopening of the live entertainment sector on October 22nd.
Martin spoke at the start of this year’s Culture Night, which will take place on Friday, September 17th.
Over 1,000 events are planned for Culture Night, 80% of which will be in person, and all of them adhere to current government guidelines which include 60% indoor and 75% outdoor capacities where attendees will be vaccinated or covered by Covid-19 19 to be recovered.
Martin said the evening will be an opportunity to celebrate Ireland’s arts and culture sectors and will mark a major turning point on our journey to recovery.
It finally looks as though the pandemic may be coming to somewhat of an end for Ireland.
