Waste collection company Panda will be slapping hard-pressed customers with an additional recycling charge from April.
Customers will now have to pay €21 a year for the company to collect the recycling bin. Other waste management companies are widely expected to follow suit.
Bizarrely, Panda are blaming China for the introduction of the charge.
Waste collection companies have long been suspected of operating in a cartel-like fashion, colluding with each other to avoid waste turf wars.
