“The media won’t report on it” – Kinnegad residents say the media won’t say what’s happening to their small town after no consultation happened with locals over landing 150 male migrants in town centre hotel – women and girls already allegedly targeted

Residents of the small town of Kinnegad say that their town has completely changed beyond believe over the past number of weeks with the vast amount of media not covering what’s happening there because it relates to migrants and taints them in their true light as opposed to how the media and government want people to see them as.

Women and kids in Kinnegad are said to be scared out of their wits after migrants who landed in the town centre are allegedly acting the thug, chasing them and taunting them in sexually provocative ways.

Locals say that it’s been a complete and utter failure as no consultation happened with the community who say that they’re blaming the owners of Harry’s Hotel in the town centre for bringing the thugs into the small town in the first place.

The media are ignoring it and politicians won’t talk about it. Everyone in the vicinity of the small town of Kinnegad, Co Westmeath knows exactly what’s going on and they’re not happy about it one bit.

150 assylum seekers have been dumped into Harry’s Hotel with absolutely no consultation whatsoever with locals about the move.

The 45-bedroom-hotel on the main street on the N4 is housing men from all over the world, including the back holes of Somalia.

Locals in Kinnegad continue to be terrorized by the foreign men being housed at Harry’s Hotel with most media outlets ignoring the accusations of serious sexual harassment of women and children by asylum seekers in the town.

The Irish citizens of Kinnegad were never asked if their wanted their little town to become a holding pen for military aged, foreign men, but like so many other towns across Ireland the government have saddled them with this dangerous burden.

Only recently similar incidents have been reported Portarlington, where last month underage girls were also allegedly sexually harassed by migrants living in a local Hotel.

Activists Philip Dwyer visited the town this week and while filming near Harry’s Hotel, an overweight, male asylum seeker confronted him and attempted to intimidate him into leaving.

Commentators on the video have found it incredible that a recently arrived asylum seeker, living fat off the hard-working Irish taxpayer had the audacity to try and intimidate an Irish citizen just trying to document what was happening in an Irish town.

Mr. Dwyer later spoke to one young woman working in Kinnegad who said that the locals are terrified and she does not feel safe in the town anymore.

It is unclear why Gardai have not taken more stringent action to stop this behaviour but allegedly, a Garda Sargent told one young woman who reported harassment that “unfortunately this is going to happen to the women and girls in Kinnegad as these men are used to women being covered head to toe in clothing”.

It remains to be seen if the people of Kinnegad are happy to let their women and children live in terror and face the possibility of assault or worse or if they will have the courage to speak up.
