The Green Party leader, Eamon Ryan, is confident that his party is in a stronger position than ever before as they approach a series of upcoming elections in Ireland, reports Breaking News.
Despite concerns that Green Party voters may be disappointed with the party’s actions in the current coalition government, Ryan believes the party is well-positioned for success.
In the 2020 general election, the Green Party’s representation in the Dáil increased from three to twelve seats, and they won 7 percent of the first preference votes, reports Breaking News.
Their polling numbers have dipped to around 4 percent in recent months, but Ryan remains optimistic about the party’s prospects.
“I don’t think there’s many Green Party voters that think we didn’t do a lot in this government,” the Transport and Climate minister said, reports Breaking News.
