Acting leader Enda Kenny has reportedly agreed to suspend water charges for a limited time, if he gets back into the Taoiseach seat.
The charges would allegedly be suspended while a new ‘framework’ for charges is laid out.
The future of Irish Water itself remains unclear, but the many people who paid their bills will surely ask now what happened to their money.
Nevertheless, the issue of a new election remains alive, as negotiations once again broke down last Friday, precisely over water charges.
