The Taoiseach says that social distancing is going to be with us until we have a vaccine or medicine

There’s an end of sight in terms of the stringent lockdown imposed on the Irish people. It’ll be a slow process but there is a five=phase process.

The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar was interviewed on last night’s Late Late Show about the new restrictions that are being imposed on the Irish public.

A slow but sure unwinding will happen over the coming weeks and months but it’ll be done in a 5-phase process.

May 18th will see phase 1 with the easing of 2km being extended to 5km and the elderly and vulnerable being able to go out for exercise once a day.

Varadkar said that social distancing is going to be with us for months or until we have a vaccine or medicine.
