World Health Org under massive pressure as many on social media are agreeing with President Donald Trump halting $500 million funding until a China covid-19 review is carried out

It appears as though President Trump is putting it up to the WHO and calling out China.

President Donald Trump has gotten a mixed reaction to his announcement at halting funding from the WHO, but many on social media are agreeing with him.

The World Health Organisation is under massive pressure today to produce some decent answers so the world can see just how they managed the initial outbreak of coronavirus in China and whether they got it badly wrong.

The President of the United States has announced that he is halting all funding of the WHO until a review is completed of how the agency handled the coronavirus outbreak in China.

President Donald Trump has accused the World Health Organisation of “severely mismanaging and covering up” the coronavirus crisis, specifically mentioning the initial outbreak in Wuhan, China.

President Trump took particular exception at the agency criticizing his China travel ban in early February when the Asian country was the epicenter of the pandemic.

“With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have deep concerns about whether America’s generosity has been put to the best use possible,” Trump said. “The reality is that the WHO failed to adequately obtain and share information in a timely and transparent fashion.”

“It could have been contained at its source,” President Trump said.

He went on to say that the WHO “pushed China’s misinformation about the virus…and there was no need for travel bans.”

President Trump complained about the WHO being “China-centric” and he said that America sends some $500 million a year to the organisation, meaning that it’s the largest contributor to the WHO out of 196 countries across the world.
