The UK might see a new Bank Holiday after Brexit, called ‘United Kingdom Day’

British people might see a new Bank Holiday added to the calendar after Brexit, if all goes according to plan.

‘United Kingdom Day’ has now moved closer to becoming official after a bill was passed by Parliament, but it still needs to become law.

The new Bank Holiday, if it comes to pass, would be held on the Friday nearest to June 23, the date when the Brexit referendum was held in 2016.
