Some social media users have called for the Toy Show to start at 7:30pm in 2023 as it went on too long and their kids fell asleep half way through.

Others are saying that the show itself had very few toys on it and that it focused more on Tubridy than it did the children demonstrating the toys.

Some people say that certain children got magnificent prizes while others got absolutely nothing.

This year’s Late Late Toy Show is already one of the most viewed shows of the year and will likely be the most viewed by year’s end.

The Wizard of Oz was this year’s theme with host Ryan Tubridy doing his usual song and dance routine to much praise from the audience.

Social media users have had mixed reactions to this year’s show with some claiming the kids were great but the show was very slow, stale and Tubridy was dragging it out.

Others said that there wasn’t enough toys on it, there were too many acts and that it’s nearly as good as the good old days.

Either way, the show raised €3.1 million for charity by the end of airtime – down from €3.3 million in 2021 but stands currently at €3.5 million – still short on last year’s efforts.
