The Department of Integration will not be pursuing more than half of the migrants who were saved from a cargo container in Rosslare, reports Breaking News.
They are said to have left a Dublin asylum centre on Thursday.
The Department of Integration responded to the reports of the missing migrants by saying that applicants for international protection are not required to stay in state-provided care.
Reports state that at least eight of the fourteen migrants discovered in a cargo container at Rosslare Harbour on Monday had escaped from State services, reports Breaking News.
Twelve adults and two children made up the group, which was transferred to an asylum centre in Dublin after they were rescued on Monday from a refrigerated container at Rosslare Europort.
