“They got the sympathy vote” – Many people aren’t happy that Ukraine won the Eurovision despite the judges voting for the UK

Many people on social media say that they’re not happy that the Ukraine were “given” the win at last night’s Eurovision song contest.

Some people are saying that the Judges gave it to the UK and that was the fair result, whereas the public vote gave it to the Ukraine.

The United Kingdom’s Sam Ryder won the judges scores but it was the public’s vote that completely changed everything.

The bookies had the Ukraine favourite for the competition but it was the public vote that changed it all with the Ukraine got some 400+ points which saw them go past 600 points in a practical unassailable lead.

It really is quite unfair as it would seem that the Ukraine got a sympathy vote rather than winning by having the best actual song.
