They’re not happy – Row rumbles on as to whether Ukrainians will be allowed holiday in Ukraine for Christmas

The government appears to be between a rock and a hard place in relation to how they’re dealing with outraged Ukrainians who aren’t happy with proposals being mooted.

Some of the 100,000 Ukrainians living here want to be able to go back to Ukraine for holiday over Christmas. A number of politicians want to allow this to happen, including allowing them to keep their social welfare payments of €220 a week upwards.

However, not all politicians are on board and been voicing their opposition to such travel plans.

Whatever will happens remains unknown at this point, but one thing’s for sure – the government have absolutely no idea how to keep everyone of all sides happy.
