Many people’s opinion on the World Health Organisation has drastically changed over the past two years with some people claiming that the WHO is trying to control our lives indefinitely as a result of how people obeyed the WHO’s every whim during the pandemic.

The World Health Organisation is set to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the recent outbreak of monkeypox, the most common viral infection in West and Central Africa, after more than 100 cases were confirmed or suspected in Europe.

In what Germany has described as the biggest outbreak on record in Europe, cases have now been confirmed in at least six countries (UK, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands and Italy), as well as in the United States, Canada and Australia. .

The disease, first identified in monkeys, is usually spread through close contact and has rarely spread outside of Africa, making this series of cases worrying.

However, scientists do not expect the outbreak to become a pandemic like Covid-19 because the virus does not spread as easily as SARS-COV-2.

Monkeypox is usually a mild viral illness characterized by febrile symptoms accompanied by a characteristic skin rash.
