The number of new Covid-19 cases reported by the Ministry of Health fell below 100 for the first time in two months, showing that Ireland is very much on the way of the coronavirus outbreak.
92 new cases of the virus were confirmed on Saturday evening, while 15 others with Covid-19 died in Ireland, the department said.
The death toll now stands at 1,533. A total of 24,048 cases have been reported since the pandemic broke out, but things are looking increasingly promising as phase 1 of the unwinding begins tomorrow.
