
An estimated 35,000 women will take part in the VHI Mini Marathon in Dublin City center today. The event aims to raise funds for 870 charities.
The 10-km race starts on Lower Baggot Street at 2pm and finishes at Fitzwilliam Place.
The Cork City Marathon and Half Marathon also take place in Cork today. The former began at 9am on St Patrick’s Street, while the latter starts at 10.45am on Victoria Road. Both events finish at Patrick’s Street.
Traffic diversions are in place in both cities to facilitate the events.
