Thousands flock to Dublin’s city centre for St Patrick’s Day parade for the first time since 2019

After two years of having no parades in the Emerald Isle at all, today is the day when that changes!

Thousands of people have descended onto the streets of the capital today to watch and cheer on all the floats and participants of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin.

Thousands of tourists have arrived in Ireland for the festivities with many coming from America to trace their Irish ancestry. The entire St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Ireland has now become an internationally known tourist attraction for the weekend.

Ireland Tourist Board says that it’s one of the biggest weekends of the year including that of the summer, with tourists flocking in and spending the money while enjoying all that the Irish hospitality has to offer.

The parade will get underway around midday this afternoon and will be broadcast on RTE 1 television.
