Thousands march in Dublin to support the innocent people in Palestine

Thousands of people took part in a rally in Dublin this afternoon in support of the Palestinians and against Israeli military action in Gaza, reports RTE.

The demonstration started at 1 p.m. from the Garden of Remembrance and ended in Merrion Square.

The march was attended by political parties, campaign groups and individuals, including the Palestinian community.

A similar march last Saturday drew hundreds of thousands of people from O’Connell Street to Shelbourne Road towards the Israeli Embassy headquarters.

Israel blockaded and bombed Gaza after Hamas leaders carried out a series of terrorist attacks on October 7, reports RTE.

The Rafah border crossing with Egypt was opened today to allow aid to flow to Palestinians in Gaza in need of food, medicine and water.

Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland, around 500 pro-Palestinian protesters marched outside the BBC Northern Ireland office in Belfast.

They protested against media reports about the conflict in the Middle East.

Police kept their distance and the BBC office on Ormeau Avenue closed its doors during the protest, reports RTE.
