Thousands of anti-mask and anti-lockdown protesters held large rally in Dublin despite restrictions and say they will do again




There wasn’t a mask in sight. No social distancing and absolutely no restrictions came into play in Dublin city centre on Saturday afternoon.

Thousands of people made their way to the Custom House for the start of another anti-mask and anti-lockdown protest rally.

Gardai clashed with a number of people who weren’t happy with trying to be pushed back and cornered off.

The protest rally started at 2pm at Dublin’s Custom House and eventually saw a standoff between gardai and protesters at the quay. One man was arrested during the fracas but it’s understood that he was later released.

It’s understood that one man was arrested during the fracas. Thousands of people are in an attendance.

Organisers say that many more similar rallies are planned in the coming weeks with even bigger crowds expected, especially if Level 3 gets increased.
