The gradual reopening of schools in Ireland began this morning after more than five months of hiatus.
As of today, for the first time since mid-March, nearly one million children and teenagers started back at approximately 4,000 primary and secondary schools.
There has been mixed reactions to children returning to schools as the threat of covid hangs over the classroom along with everywhere else in society.
