A Hampshire farm in in the English Countryside will play host to tens of thousands of Muslims this August as they gather to pledge their allegiance to a global caliphate.

(A caliphate is defined as an Islamic state under the leadership of an Islamic steward with the title of caliph, a person considered a political-religious successor to the Islamic prophet Muhammad and a leader of the entire “ummah” or global Muslim population)

The idyllic town of Alton will be turned into an “Islamic global village” as tens of thousands pledge their allegiance to their new leader Caliph Mirza Masroor Ahmad, who heads the Ahmadiyya sect of Islam which began in the Punjab, India in 1893 and is view as heretical by most Muslims.

Ahmad has said he intends to tackle misconceptions about Islam.

The August event is organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and will take place on August 2nd to 4th. It is the longest standing and largest Muslim convention in the UK.
