It will be a difficult start to the weekend for many residents across the country this morning after the high winds caused by Storm Emma left thousands without power this morning.
In an announcement made this morning the ESB Network said in the region of 22,000 homes are still without electricity.
The country’s biggest electricity provider say bad weather conditions have hampered their efforts in trying to restore supply on Friday.
They also say it may take some time to repair the faults and have urged the public to remain patient.
